Deloitte - CDROM

Deloitte is a world leader in a broad range of audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services. It creates powerful business solutions for organisations operating anywhere in the world.

Deloitte have developed a unique approach to maximising shareholder value, and  boast a suite of tools and methodologies to support this. Working alongside strategic consultants April Strategy, Digital Marmalade was commissioned to develop a training program that brings these tools and the initiative to life. Our task was to train the entire client facing team to adopt this new approach to sales and consultancy.

The Solution

The development of this interactive CD-ROM was very different to any project that we had previously worked on. The first thing we did was to get together a small investigation team.  This team comprised of the European Head of Marketing at Deliotte, key staff from April Strategy and Digital Marmalade. Together we identified the key ‘Value Initiative’ experts within Deloitte and around the world. After data mining and extensive interviewing, we began to form the architecture for the training program. This enabled us to establish the multimedia treatments for each module. All manner of multimedia was employed to ensure that the final product delivered the message in the most memorable and impactful way.

A small camera crew travelled across Europe and USA to interview, film, and photograph Deloitte’s senior leaders and account teams. Back home, another team recorded and edited phone conversations with value experts and gathered documented material to further flesh out the content. Tools and charts were sprinkled with multimedia pixie dust to intuitively show their use within consultancy. Real client examples were developed using a combination of video footage, audio files, ‘webinars’ and learning exercises.

The final CD-ROM and training booklet was themed and packaged around a nautical voyage to destination value. The project has been a complete success, making a significant impact both internally and externally.
