Project Introduction
After going through a re-branding exercise following
the merger between Cap Gemini and Ernst & Young.
They needed to rollout the designs globally, giving
all marketing executives in the Global Financial Services
division the ability to easily produce a variety of
marketing collateral consistent with the new brand
guidelines. An interactive tool was required to police
the production of all marketing material from brochures
to exhibition stands, and yet give the user the feeling
that they were creating something new.
Project Build
The solution we provided contains interactive creation
tools for brochures, folders, fact sheets, proposal
covers, internal newsletters, point of views, exhibition
stands, and PowerPoint templates. It also includes
a full image gallery, downloads for colour references,
templates, top tips and links to the corporate guidelines
website.
The user needs no design software on their PC, they
simply follow the on-screen prompts, selecting the
collateral to be produced, the department, paper size,
colour, and images. As titles and body text are typed
in an on-screen dynamic mock-up of the collateral
is updated. Once complete the user is asked to confirm
all choices before clicking the download button.
At this stage the tool prompts the user to insert
one of four brand asset CD-ROMs into their PC. The
relevant files are then downloaded to a pre-defined
folder ready for the final assembly. Designer’s
notes, images, quark templates and jpegs of the mock-ups
are downloaded. The process ensures all literature
is consistent from department to department across
all countries and is so simple to use that it’s
actually fun!
