Project Introduction
Fmagazine was the birth child of Luca Bosurgi and
Chrissie Adams. Their vision was to produce a monthly
interactive fashion and music magazine. They wanted
to a multimedia extravaganza which would ‘go
further’ then traditional printed magazines.
Project Build
Digital Marmalade was involved at the beginning of
the venture. Working alongside Luca and Chrissie we
produced the first edition of the magazine, on CD-ROM.
At the time there was nothing like it. The CD-ROM
had all the finesse of it’s printed rivals,
but also included audio and video interviews with
up-and-coming artists, fashion designers and musicians.
Albums were reviewed and the user could hear audio
samples, using the Fmagazine music player. The user
could walk around virtual galleries and appreciate
the work of a new breed of artists. Fashion shoots
were photographed, filmed and treated. Clothing ranges
and accessories had links to online ecommerce hubs.
The magazine offered an insight into the future and
was well received by both industry and consumer.
Three years later the magazine is still going strong.
Luca and Chrissie manage a team of in-house developers,
who have successfully migrated the magazine into a
wonderful broadband website. We are proud to have
been involved at the beginning and wish the Fmagazine
team all the success in the world. They deserve it.
