Project Introduction
In managing and producing Blockbuster’s in-store
TV channel, BBTV, we have lot’s of opportunity
to produce motion graphics. This case study showcases
2 of a series of 3D animations of the Blockbuster
Ticket Man character. He was developed as a vehicle
to communicate with Blockbuster’s customers
on subject matters outside of movie and promotional
offers.
Project Build
These animations provide a light hearted message to
the customer. The first is an emotive message to the
long suffering parents during school holiday periods.
It encourages them to allow Blockbuster to entertain
the children during these periods. The second animation
is again created purely in 3D, the message is quite
simple ‘move to the DVD format’, it highlights
the benefits and the improvement in audiovisual quality.
The animations are fun and don’t take themselves
