Project Introduction
ABC turned to Digital Marmalade to produce its website
following a corporate re-brand. The site needed to
manage and navigate a wealth of company information,
while introducing the user to the firm’s new
image.
Project Build
ABC’s new visual identity translated well into
a cool, clean layout, incorporating key elements such
as the photography, colour schemes and typography
that were a common thread in their offline media.
The majority of the site was built in Flash, taking
what would normally be run of the mill brochure wear
and transforming it into an online presence that reflects
the dynamic and entrepreneurial nature of Amhurst
Brown Colombotti.
Motion graphics were used to enhance features such
as the interface, team profiles, news feeds and the
location map. Despite the Flash bias, all of the content
had corresponding preformatted pages, ready for to
output to print. Behind the scenes, a database worked
hand-in-hand with ASP to produce categorised, fully
searchable news articles. An automated, password protected,
administration system allows ABC to maintain this
section.
After the site was launched, Digital Marmalade spent
time at ABC, instructing members of the IT department
in maintenance and design techniques, as well as providing
some software training.
