Digital Marmalade has recently completed a Pacman style game for the Local Government Authority.
The Local Government Authority were touring the country in a bid to highlight what regional council's could offer the unemployed to assist them in career development. Digital Marmalade was asked to produce multimedia content for exhibition kiosks to 'draw' people in.
The brief, build a pack man game based on a map of the UK. Make it fun!
Quite simply, we did just that. The game is controlled by a joystick, and follows the format of the original 80's game. The player controls the pacman and attempts to pick up the stars of the LGA logo which are placed around a map of the UK. Quirky music added to the fun. When the user completes the game one of five videos is randomly played informing the user of one of the initiatives available. Top scores are recorded and at the end of a day a prize given to the winner.
