13 March 2003
Through the relationship with Blockbuster, Digital Marmalade was proud to sponsor the AV for the first Starlight Ball in aid of this very special charity helping turn terminally ill children's wishes into reality. On the 12th March the first ever Starlight Ball took place at Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
With Steven Fry, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Beadle and even Kato (from the Pink Panther films), we all enjoyed a wonderful event, whilst helping a really worthwhile cause. We'd like to congratulate Blockbuster on making this night happen, and would encourage anyone reading this to pay a visit to their site and help a real charity make a difference.
The Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children in order to take their minds off the pain, fear and isolation of their illness and to help strengthen family bonds during difficult times.
When it began in 1987, the charity helped just 4 children; today, it helps over 100,000 children every year by granting their wishes and providing entertainment in hospitals all over the UK.
