Following on from a recent re-branding initiative, Cosmos Holidays wanted to strategically focus on improving its conversion rate through the holiday booking process. Taking our learnings from the work carried out in taking the Monarch Airline’s website to the number 1 spot in the airline sector we carried out the following enhancements:
The entire holiday booking process has been streamlined and reduced from five steps to four.
An amazon style filtering facility has been added to the holiday results allowing users to filter by price ranges, facilities, star ratings, board basis, accommodation types and resort.
A calendar view of the holiday results allows users to easily see which dates have the cheapest deals.
A map view of the holiday results enables users to pick holiday by the location within a resort.
Improvements have been made to the layouts of holiday package details, including the addition of bedroom photography to show clearly what the size and quality of the hotel rooms are like.
A ‘running total’ shopping basket down the right-hand side has been introduced which instantly updates with all chosen components of the holiday, including any optional extras added such as travel insurance, car hire, transfers, room upgrades and much more.
It’s exciting to see these powerful modifications in place and we’re sure Cosmos will start reaping the rewards straight away!
