Cosmos Holidays Published in Brilliant Online Marketing

A book, aiming to simplify the world of online marketing and offer advice to marketers to inspire action, has featured the success story of the Cosmos Website.
It looks at the process undertaken by Digital Marmalade, who were appointed by the tour operator to increase the conversion rate from visitors to consumers and increasing the revenue the website generated.
Brilliant Online Marketing was written by Alex Blyth, a freelance journalist who has written extensively on the topic of online marketing for publications such as New Media Age, Revolution, B2B Marketing and Media Week. He takes the reader through the scoping and feasibility of the initial discovery phase and how through the recommendations made by Digital Marmalade, Cosmos went through a radical change in mind set and cultural working habits to embrace a web-focused proposition.
Within the first year of going live the website was regularly taking bookings of £1 million a week – a massive 250% increase on the previous year. The figures are equally impressive when examining conversion rates and at the time of writing were above the travel industry’s average.
