Founded in January 2001 Eurofracht is a young, friendly and ambitious freight forwarding business, which specialises in providing trailer freight movements into Europe, offering direct transport and express courier services. Eurofracht didn’t have a website of any kind, and so we are asked to build one and in doing so to give the company an online presence.
The site is small and simple. It details all of Eurofracht’s services and provides information on the company. Through an emailable form, visitors can apply for a quote from Eurofracht. The idea was that through the site, Eurofracht would be able to ‘demystify freight’ for both existing and new clients. A glossary of useful terms helps the user get a better understanding of the services Eurofracht offer, and there is even a ‘Pallet Convertor’ to help the user to calculate how much loading space will be needed. The ‘Hazardous Goods’ table gives the user the opportunity to plan the movement of hazardous freight. All of these tools help to give the visitor an idea of what Eurofracht are – a friendly, professional company which puts the customer first.
The website has a sophisticated, professional and friendly design. It is centered around a map of Europe, and so we chose a palette of dark, marine greens which go well with this theme. Every photo which has been used on the site has been treated with a tint to ensure that the site as a feeling of uniformity and continuity. Our web designers built an animation in Flash, showing which areas of Europe Eurofracht service.
The site makes use of microformats, which means that Eurofract’s contact details can be easily stored. This is also a really search engine friendly approach to building websites.
