iamtheCODE - Sustainable Development Goals iDEA badge

iamtheCODE is the first African-led global movement to mobilise government, private sector, and investors to advance STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, and Design) Education.

The founder of such ambitious project is Mariéme Jamme and she is an award-winning Technologist and pioneer in system change and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. In Sept 2017, she was the first black woman to win the Innovation Award at the Global Goals Award 2017 by UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

iamtheCODE has one objective: Enabling 1 million women and girls to code by 2030.

In order to achieve this huge goal, they are using all the means available to them, and sharing their knowledge in the iDEA platform is one of them.

iamtheCODE had the great idea of developing a new badge for the iDEA platform about the UN Global Goals and why they matter, to helps us all better understanding how we can play our part, and to decode the Goals and shows how individuals, businesses, communities and technology can all help advance them, and change the world.

We have developed this learning module using our experience in learning that we have acquired over time working on other iDEA’s badges.

In order to develop a good learning module, requires taking the user through a certain path using exercises, informative pages and great design. This can only be accomplished when you have a united and cross functional team that work together for the common goal of creating a compelling user experience. This is Digital Marmalade goal.
