We received more good news at the Marmalade Studios today with the announcement that the Monarch Airlines site was voted ‘Best Airline Website’ at this year’s TravelMole 2012 UK Web Awards.
The awards, now in their ninth year, recognise the best in online activity in the travel and tourism industry. Other sites shortlisted for the award were jet2.com, easyjet.com and icelandair.com, so it’s fair to say that Monarch slayed some real giants to win the best airline gong, especially given that the award was won by a unanimous decision – all six judges placed us at the top of their list! Last year the award was won by Emirates, so Monarch is in good company.
Digital Marmalade is really proud of our working relationship with Monarch and its consumer website, which last year topped a list of 11 flight operators - including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Jet2 and Ryanair - to be number one for usability and design in a survey carried out by eDigital Research.
The website is also shortlisted for the Travolution 2012 Best Airline Website – fingers crossed we can bag the hat-trick of awards.
