Spirit of London Awards celebrating the achievements of young people

The Spirit of London Awards 2011, run by Team SOLA, delivered an extravaganza worthy of the location, as over 4,000 people enjoyed the latest London Community Oscars.
From Digital Marmalade’s perspective it is amazing to see the effect a brand we helped create can make on people’s lives.
Now in its third year, the Spirit of London Awards’ performance list was impressive! Tinie Temper headlined the show and was emphatically supported by a host of celebrity acts who on any other night would have topped the bill. The real stars of the show though, were the unsung young heroes of our local communities. The awards ceremony recognises youngsters for their achievements through sport, music, the arts, fashion, education and media, as well as for their work in their communities.
The noise that echoed around the Royal Albert Hall when Tinie finished his set only grew as Jermain Defoe presented the London Legend Award to this year’s recipient – one ‘Arry Redknapp. It is fair to say that the decision was a popular one with the crowd and added to the culminating sense of celebration and achievement over the past three years.
