Sport Passport Gets Shortlisted As A Sport Technology Finalists

Sport Passport Sport Technology Awards Finalist 2016

Good news everyone!

Digital Marmalade is over the moon this week as it's been announced that Aqua Passport is a FINALIST in the Sports Technology Awards!

Aqua Passport, or Sport Passport, is a sport skills learning and assessment platform, commissioned by Swim Wales and launched late 2015. Students are issued with a Sport Passport ID, which allows them to take part in a range of bespoke sport learning programmes.

The platform consists of a lesson management module, instructor poolside assessment apps, student's individual websites that show and reward progress by unlocking trophies, bespoke puzzles and games, and a sales website summarising the features and benefits of the entire system. This was a massive project, with many complexities and nuances, and you can have a read of the full case study to find out more!

We're up against some worthy competitors, such as BBC Get Inspired, MyLocalPitch, and RunSocial, but we have very high hopes for Aqua Passport. It's a great reward on its own to know that what we have produced - with many hours of graft, complex thought and planning - will encourage kids to get involved in sport, but now to have this recognition by the Sports Technology Awards? Well, the only way we could be more chuffed is if Aqua Passport actually wins!

The awards ceremony is in April, and in the meantime you can find out more on Twitter, searching #STA2016

Massive well done to the team!
