Swim Wales new website goes live

Swim Wales Responsive Web Design

Having first worked with Swim Wales to develop and launch the successful Sport Passport Platform at the end of 2015, we have since been working with them to design and develop their own new website.

The new Swim Wales website - www.swimwales.org - launched on 1st July, is not only refreshed with an improved, fully responsive design, but it also now has a comprehensive CMS to allow the client to manage its content. This was essential, as a key requirement from Swim Wales was that the new website had to coherently pull together all facets of Welsh swimming and aquatic sports into one site, from courses, events and live results, to education, swimming clubs, and pool locations.

The site is fully content managed and built on the new Laravel framework which includes our updated page builder. The CMS features an events module controlling a front end calendar and live results, a people module where Welsh swimmers can be added with a profile page with achievements, as well as a shop which uses PayPal where visitors can purchase merchandise and awards. These are in addition to modules for pools, courses, clubs, key documents, contact, and news.

This means that no matter what you want to find out about Welsh swimming, diving, water polo, synchro and education, you can find it all here, with up to date information and relevant content.

Congratulations to Jazz Carlin, Welsh swimmer who won two silver medals at the Rio Olympics!
