Digital Marmalade have been working with The Chapel, an award winning chain of hair salons and beauty spas, since 2001.
This year, The Chapel have been working on developing a collection of luxury products, including candles, pulse point fragrances and hand creams to sell via a new shop section on their main website.
Digital Marmalade were commissioned to design and build the site, and provide Ecommerce management tools which we built on Marmalade Suite, our CMS build on the Laravel framework. Here, The Chapel can add and edit products and product categories, create discount vouchers, track orders, and view customer details. From the dashboard, admin users can also see certain metrics at a glance such as how much has been ordered, how much is currently in baskets, and revenue per month.
The front-end design perfectly complements the luxurious and high-end nature of the products. A clean, white site with colour accents from the packaging illustrations allows the products to take centre stage, and smooth animations add movement and interest. As you dive a bit deeper into the fragrance and product descriptions, the illustrations and descriptions come alive to give you a detailed insight into the scents, which is reinforced by atmospheric sound effects.
We have integrated with WorldPay as payment provider, and skinned the process to make it appear as seamless as possible for the customer.
The Chapel Shop is a positive new addition to their website, and enhances their brand which is founded on quality and offering a unique experience.
